TEST DEVELOPMENT

Tests play an important role in evaluation of pupil learning. They provide relevant measures of many important learning outcomes. The validity of the information they provide, however, depends on the care that goes into the development of the tests.Testing has expanded rapidly in the school. It can help to improve learning by assisting in:

(a)pre-assessing learner's need.

(b) monitoring learning progress.

(c) diagnosing learning difficutlies.

(d) determining the degree to which the intended learning outcomes have been attained.
