LIMITATIONS

  1. This method cannot be applied in the elementary classes.
  2. It is time-consuming. Solution of a single problem may take a lot of time. Thus, it is difficult to complete the prescribed syllabus.
  3. It expects too much from the teachers as well as the students. Thus, most of the students may not be able to benefit from this procedure.
  4. It may prove useful only for higher classes and highly intelligent students.
  5. Sufficient sources of required information may not be always available. In spite of these limitations, problem- solving is a very useful procedure from the educational point of view.
